Blind Flange — Overview

A blind flange closes off a pipe end, a valve or a vessel nozzle. It is used for hydrostatic testing, for tie-in points that will be opened later, and for isolating a line during maintenance.

We machine the face and drill the bolt holes to the standard so the blind mates with the flange it is bolted to, first time.

Each piece carries its size, class and heat number, which lets your inspector match the plate straight back to the certificate.

Applications

Where It Is Used

The three project types that order this item most often.

Oil & Gas

Upstream and midstream lines, wellhead hook-ups and pipeline tie-ins where pressure classes run high.

Water & Desalination

Desalination plants, pumping stations and water transmission lines, in carbon or stainless steel.

Power & Process

Power plants, refineries and chemical process piping where heat resistance and traceability matter.
